IMG_7048 copy 2   So I know that these are WAAAAY overdue, but it’s been very busy for me lately.  Honey and I recently got married 3/28/2009 and a few weeks before the wedding we decided that we needed some pictures of us to display at the Church.  Well, what better way to do that but go shoot them myself.  Of course, I can’t do anything simple either, I shot these Strobist style.

Strobist info:  Vivitar flash bounced into umbrella, camera right at 1/4 power.

That’s how I would describe Dave Jorgenson’s show.  He really knows traditional country music.  Check out his gig’s page and see his next show.

You can have a steel guitar in the band too.  Went out Friday to see an old friend, Dave Jorgenson play out at the Coupland Dancehall.  It was great to get out and shoot a little and dance a little.  It’s been a long time since I’ve heard Dave play and he always plays his heart out!

Rock Star

Saturday, January 12th, 2008

Saw Vallejo last night at Merkabas bar and grill. I used to go watch them play all the time. They are still just as great as ever. The lighting in that bar is very low and hard to shoot with. I tried using the band’s spotlights to help with my exposures. I actually like how the light was so blown out over his shoulder. It created a nice rock star kind of effect.

Guitars

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

This is one of my favorites from shooting Pauline Reese. This was one of her guitarists. I liked this photo so much, I made it my desktop image.
I guess since I am a musician and former guitarist, I tend to really like guitars. This photo really makes me feel the music coming out of that guitar.

Bass Player

Monday, October 29th, 2007

This was the bass player from the Chris Young Band. He was really cool and a lot of fun to photograph. This was one of my favorites from that night.

Concert Photography

Monday, October 29th, 2007

I love music and I love photography. Since I don’t play in a band any more, I like to shoot concerts. This was a concert from Saturday night in Coupland, TX with Chris Young. He was the season 4 winner of Nashville Star.
