I made the 1 1/2 hour commute out to Llano, Tx to see the Eagle nest that has been there for about 6 or 7 years. It is truly amazing to see these majestic birds in the wild.
This was shot with an old 600-1000mm manual focus lens. I shot some other photos using a Canon EF 300mm F4 L lens stacked on top of a Canon EF 1.4x II Extender. Those are located on my Flickr photostream.

Another one from the archives. It’s kind of fun to look back at the last 2 years of photos that I’ve taken and seen my progress. I can tell that my composition has gotten better and my grasp of how to use the camera has vastly improved. However, This tiger shot is still one of my all time photos that I’ve taken. These are just majestic animals and to be able to get as close as I was is half the thrill. I hope to return one day to north Texas to
